To find out fascinating facts as well as information on Stairlifts in London continue reading. London as everyone knows is the capital of England but did you know that according to local legend the capital of England wasn't always based in London or Londinium as the Romans called it.

Kind Edgar, that's him up above to the left, established himself at Penkridge, only a mile and a half from one of the regional offices of Castle Comfort Stairlifts at Dunston in Staffordshire. In those days wherever the king was living was held to be the seat of government and therefore the capital of the country. Edgar the Peaceful as he was known was declared to have held his seat of power in the area for reputedly upto 3 years.

According to the Birmingham Post when they were visiting Penkridge many locals were proud of their small towns claim to fame even if it was way back in the 10th Century!

Overall Excellent
A service that cannot be beaten. With an elderly mother in hospital requiring a stairlift before she could be discharged I had spent many hours ringing around stairlift companies only to be frustrated at the complexities of obtaining a direct quote and fitting date without the seemingly obligatory visit by the 'sales person'. Then I found Keith at Castle Comfort Stairlifts, what a relief. It felt like I was talking to someone from my family, he understood our predicament and was able to offer sound honest advice and provided a very competitive price for the installation of the chair over the phone. (Fantastic). Keith pulled out the stops and arranged for the measure up and fitting of the chair within a week to coincide with my mum's discharge. If you are looking for a company that really cares and one you can trust to provide you with the best no nonsense quote then I can highly recommend Keith and his family at Castle Comfort. Thank you. Mark. Middlesex.

  3. Simple. We take an interest in every new stairlifts customer we get and ask them to tell us what's special about where they come from. Glad you like it.

  4. The capital of England should be in the Midlands, no doubt about it ! We are known for the warmth of our welcome and friendliness and my London friends love it. Castle Comfort Stairlifts are very efficient, whilst retaining the personal touch and showing that they really do care; they could beat any London-based company in terms of service and probably on price too. Can't recommend them highly enough! I've already given their name to loads of my friends in the South.
